Mold Protector

“Rasis silicone spray forms a protective barrier, ensuring smooth separation in both hot and cold molding processes. It prevents adhesion, accelerates evaporation, and withstands high temperatures up to 288°C.”

Silicon Spray

Silicone foams serve as an excellent release agent for both hot and cold molding processes. Prior to molding, applying silicone spray to the mold’s surface creates a thin, non-stick silicone layer, preventing the molding material from adhering to the mold. This protective barrier effectively extends the mold’s life and ensures a smooth release of materials.

Rasis silicone sprays are formulated to avoid any adverse effects on molds, including corrosion, burning, or carbonization. Odorless and quick-drying, these sprays accelerate the molding process and are highly resistant to temperatures up to 288°C. The low surface tension of Rasis silicone sprays, approximately 0.021 n/m—lower than that of most organic solvents—makes them a highly competitive option in the market. Furthermore, in compliance with Germany’s FDA regulations, these sprays are safe for use in applications involving food and sanitary containers.

Key Features of Rasis Silicone Mold Sprays:

  • Lubricating Properties: Rasis silicone sprays contain an oily substance that not only enhances mold release but also doubles as a lubricant, increasing mold efficiency.
  • High-Temperature Resistance: Capable of withstanding temperatures up to 290°C, these sprays are ideal for use with high-temperature molding materials.
  • Flammability Precautions: These sprays are flammable, so strict safety protocols must be followed during use to avoid fire hazards.

By understanding these key features, you can select the most suitable spray for your specific molding needs.

Indications :

Applications of Silicone Spray

  • As a Separating Agent: Silicone spray is widely used in plastic injection molds, extruders, the casting industry, and resin molds for materials like ABS, acrylics, waxes, rubber, polyester, cellulose, polystyrene, polyamide, PVC, and various packaging industries. It prevents adhesion of materials to mold surfaces, thereby increasing mold life and efficiency.
  • As a Lubricating Agent: It serves as an effective lubricant in plastic moving parts, fittings, films, rails, signage, cutting tools, and in material injection and extrusion processes. Silicone spray is also valuable in model manufacturing, and the yarn and fabric industries.
  • As a Water Removal and Polishing Agent: Silicone spray is used for polishing decorative surfaces such as dashboards, driver cabins, home appliances, glass, ceramics, laminates, insulators, rubber, and painted surfaces. Its water-repelling properties enhance surface shine and protect against moisture.

instructions :

Tips for Using Silicone Spray:

  1. Surface Cleaning: Before using silicone spray or mold, ensure the surface or mold is completely clean and dry. Remove any grease, dust, or other particles.
  2. Mixing: Silicone spray may need mixing before use. Some sprays require shaking the contents for a thorough mix. Always check the manufacturer’s instructions.
  3. Small Area Test: To ensure compatibility with the desired surface or mold, conduct a small area test first. This can help prevent unwanted adhesion or other issues.
  4. Proper Distance: Spray from the appropriate distance (usually about 20-30 cm) to ensure uniform coverage on the surface or mold.
  5. Homogeneous Application: Spread materials evenly across the surface or mold, ensuring no bare or overly coated spots.
  6. Drying Time: Allow adequate time for the surface or mold to dry after spraying. Drying times may vary depending on environmental conditions.
  7. Repeat if Necessary: In some cases, it may be necessary to repeat the spraying process to achieve a better protective layer.
  8. Use of Mask and Gloves: Since some sprays may contain allergenic substances, using gloves and masks for skin and respiratory protection is advisable.

Note: Always follow the manufacturer’s instructions and safety tips when using any type of spray, and work in well-ventilated areas.
